Ranka Colony is a group housing project in Bangalore. It was targeted to cater to the middle income group.

The 4 acre plot had 4 towers. Each tower had 2 cores and 6 units per core. So each floor had about 12 units of 900 Sft area per unit. Typical unit had 2 bedrooms, Living/Dining, Kitchen and Utility. The apartment in the South of Bangalore was designed as an extension of the already sanctioned and built buildings in the site. The challenge was to keep the basic unit plan same as the old one but to bring in freshness to the buildings through the elevation treatment.
