The site being rectilinear, the design has employed an elongated approach towards its planning of the floors with the public and secured areas separated from each other.

The clients were an elderly couple with their children and grandchildren living abroad. So the brief revolved round the fact that once or twice a year the house was going to have people visiting them, but for most part it would only be the couple living in there.

The site is surrounded by roads on three sides, with a school on the east and 4-5 storey structures towards the north and west side of the site. In Urban living where the family being very social, the challenge was to create a fairly open house, yet maintain privacy for the inhabitants. So,we thought of creating an inward-looking house.

Sangolli Rayanna Sainik School
The site is split into two parts by the main access road. One part has the academic blocks and the other consists of a sports complex. The layout is inspired by the axial planning of the Mughal architecture and incorporates the concept of nodes, axis and inter connectivity.

The client Dr. Athaulla and his wife are practicing doctors in Rural Karnataka in a place called Pavagada. When we first visited their then establishment, we noticed a lack of proper sequence of program for the experience of the patient; major hiccup being lack of proper waiting area.

The site is located in a quiet residential area close to Manyata Tech Park. The house sits on a corner site and abuts the main road on the South side which has two guest houses. Towards East, it opens out to a secondary road with residences.

This 6900 sqm area Ground + 3 floors building is majorly designed as Co-Living space along with few commercial spaces in one of the fastest developing areas of North Bangalore.While planning, the site was divided into grids keeping in mind the column layout for parking in the basement.

SND is built on a consistent philosophy and set of values, producing projects which are situation specific rather than deploying a signature style.

The site has a single road approach. The shorter side of this G+4 building faces north.
Basement Floor contains all services including laundry, CCTV room etc. Ground floor has Lobby and Gym.

Having only 34 units in a 2 acre land, the low density of population within the site ensures that residents get a sense of privacy even while sharing common amenities like swimming pool and the clubhouse facilities.

For centuries, man has manipulated the Elements to build comfortable houses even in the most hostile environments.

Located around the corner of the Mysore palace, this Gun house is a bright red structure with white borders all around. This Building is more than a century old and is a remnant of the city’s colonial past. This was going to be refurbished to house a fine dine Restaurant and a food court.

The material palette used were sophisticated soft neutral tones, colors within the same hue but slightly different tones with hints of deep colors with gold and bronze finishes for the fixtures to accentuate the look, and use of textures to add more character to space.
